When excessive amounts of carpet cleaning detergents are used and a carpet cleaner does not rinse all of it from the carpets then it leaves a sticky residue, which in effect causes the carpets to get dirtier faster. But the carpets that have been cleaned with detergents which have been thoroughly rinsed, gets dried fast and does not attracts any residue.
